The Ausangate 7 Lakes full-day hike is a perfect option for nature and hiking lovers with limited time in Cusco. This trek offers a chance to explore part of the Vilcanota mountain range, featuring stunning views of colorful lagoons formed by glacier melt. Along the way, you'll enjoy breathtaking Andean landscapes, observe local wildlife and flora, and unwind in the relaxing Pacchanta hot springs.

The Ausangate 7 Lakes Full Day Hike is a top choice for nature and hiking enthusiasts. Located in the remote Andes near the Qolqecruz and Ausangate mountains, this scenic area was once accessible only via the longer Ausangate Trek. Now, it can be visited in a single day as part of a Cusco getaway. The tour runs from 4:30 am to 6:30 pm and offers breathtaking views of colorful lagoons. Organized by Machupicchu Andes Tours – Matours, it promises a safe, personalized, and memorable experience.

The tour begins with a hotel pickup in Cusco between 4:30 and 5:00 am, followed by a 3-hour drive to the Pacchanta community. There, you’ll enjoy a homemade breakfast before starting the hike around 8:00–8:30 am. The 6-hour trek takes you through stunning Andean landscapes, including colorful lakes and snow-capped peaks, with opportunities to see llamas, alpacas, and native flora and fauna. After the hike, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch and relax in the Pacchanta hot springs. The return to Cusco is at 15:00–15:30, with arrival around 18:30.
